National Navigation Award Scheme for the Fire Brigades Union
The page is for members of Scottish Fire and Rescue who are booking an NNAS course through the Fire Brigades Union.
Here you will find information about your course, kit lists and links to forms that you are required to fill in.
You will need to make your own way to the meeting point for each day and are required to bring your own food, snacks and drinks. These are included on the relevant kit list.
BRONZE – Cairngorms
29th – 30th June, 2024
Meeting time: 09:00
Location: YMCA Grantown on Spey
The Bronze course will be made up of classroom teaching and low-level skills development in the local area.
SILVER – Cairngorms
13th – 14th July, 2024
Meeting time: 09:00
Location: Aviemore – Cairngorm Mountain (TBC)
The Silver Course will include an overnight wild-camp where additional skills including camping and night-nav will be taught.
Camping equipment will be provided. See kit list.
BRONZE – Loch Lomond & Trossachs
29th – 30th August, 2024

Location: Aberfeldy

SILVER – Loch Lomond & Trossachs
8th – 9th October, 2024
Meeting time: 09:00
Location: Loch Earn
The Silver Course will include an overnight wild-camp where additional skills including camping and night-nav will be taught.
