This lightweight 3 day trek includes 2 remote wild camps and will include the following Munros:

  • Carn Dearg
  • Geal-charn
  • Aonach Beag
  • Beinn Eibhinn
  • Ben Alder
  • Beinn Bheoil

This route will take us down along Loch Ericht before heading over towards Culra Bothy. At this point we will ascend to our first Munro, Carn Dearg. Once on the summit plateau we will travel onwards to the impressive ridge Aisre Ghobhainn. This narrow ridge will bring us to our second Munro, Geal-Charn.

From here we progress onwards following the height of the landscape to summit Munros Aonach Beag and then Beinn Eibhinn. This is where we will hopefully get some stunning views and a true sense of remoteness can be felt.

On completion of these northern Munros, we will then go on towards the iconic Ben Alder, the highest point on this trek and our fifth Munro, also another excellent viewpoint if conditions allow.

Moving around a’Garbh Choire, considered by many to be the highest lochan (small loch), we will take a rocky and interesting route down to Bealach Breabag before heading back up to Sron Coire na h-lolaire where if conditions are right we will head across to the summit and take in the view over Loch Ericht.

Moving across a ridge we will gently climb to our next and final Munro, Beinn Bheoil, before following the landscape back down towards Culra Bothy and the route back along Loch Ericht.
